Better Nutrition

What happens when we are introduced to better nutrition?

When we change our diet and are introduced to a better nutrition program we might get concerned about the symptoms experienced during the change.  Why should we first feel a let down?  What happens if we start following new nutrition habits by cutting out or down our consumption of coffee, tea, chocolate, preservatives, additives, salt etc?  What happens if we give up foods that contain refined sugar such as high fructose corn syrup and choose higher quality foods close to their natural and raw form as possible?  When the quality of food entering the body is a higher standard, we find the enzymes intact, a better and more complete form of the nutrition needed for optimal health.  Initially when we begin to change out the foods we eat to better quality, the body will joyfully accept the healthy materials and tries to discard the poor quality ones.  This let down can last for 10 days or more.  Sometimes in these cases a person may relate the symptoms to that of a food allergy.  The skin is the largest organ we have and it will discard toxins in the form of acne breakouts, the stomach may feel funny and sometimes in the initial phase of “out with the old and in with the new” we may even feel sluggish from all of the detoxifying.

Since there is an energy change at the first phase of a healthier lifestyle, more rest and sleep might be needed.  Sometimes, the worse a person may feel the more change that was needed.  Some people may not have any symptoms at all.  Soon the body starts to build up healthier cells because it given an increase in vital nutrients, fiber and minerals that it may not have been given before.  Elimination will improve and the body will start to clean up.  It begins to clean house and the old will eventually be removed.  Assimilation of nutrients will improve and the body’s need for large amounts of food decreases.  Now, quality replaces quantity.  The new changes can lower the risk for many health problems.

It is up to us what level of optimal health we would like to reach.  We are steward’s over these physical bodies (1 Corinthians 6:20) Thank God for the blood of Jesus who has redeemed us from all sickness and disease.  It is our personal responsibility to do as the bible instructs us to take care of the temple that the Holy Spirit lives in.  I believe it honors the Lord when we do.  No matter where you are at today, begin to look unto Jesus and His Holy Spirit to give you the wisdom and the strength that you need in order to make any adjustments in the area of your health.  God bless you!!

I am a 58yr. old female who has let her body settle for less exercise than it needs. I used to dance a lot, but after several surgeries, I have stopped almost altogether. I started your exercise program about 3yrs ago. For a while, I got up at 5:30 every morning. After changing jobs, I basically quit. Now I am so out of shape and would like to loose about 30 lbs. You are my inspiration! I feel good after working with you. The word of God during the exercise is most helpful and uplifting. Thank you for what you do. And I will do better. I am setting my alarm right now. I will take better care of my temple.

Our new arrival is going on 4 months and I am determined to lose the extra pounds i have gained. I am not only going to exercise but eat healthy. I”ll show them (my16 year old son and my 11 year old daughter). They’re constantly reminding me that I gained weight. Well for 2 days I’ve joined in with your ministry and as I said, “I’ll show them”. The word of God is inspiring, your testimonies encouraging and I have the Grace of God to Do It!

Thank you and I’m committed and will be constantly consistent!

    Hi Jennifer!
I am continuing to improve in my health and get stronger. Like everyone, I wish it would go quicker! It would be great to wake up in the more feeling great “all over” and jump out of bed excited about exercising again! I am keeping my faith energized – it CAN happen! I am doing better on my diet and paying attention to what I am eating.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words! It helps so much for you to give us God’s Words along the way. This year, 2011, is my year to get stronger & healthier and take better care of the temple he has entrusted to me!

Dear Jennifer, I have been exercising with you for about 6 wks. I tell everyone that I exercise with Jennifer. They think its my daughter… I will be 69 in a few months. and for the first time fine a program I can actually do.. I need to lose about 25 lbs. I am , with the Lord going to get my temple where it should be.. It is much harder to take off weight when you get older. After my children I was able to get back to my weight. but after 55 it became harder to maintain. I became a care giver for my mom and dad . They passed five years of each other.. had ten yrs. of sitting with them.. Not good..for weight. Was widowed 25 yrs ago. at the age of 43….. But working and raising kids with Yeshua as my strength.. was more than possible. … Thanks so much for your program……… could you please send me your grocery list that you talk about… I dont buy much now that I live alone, and try to buy the right things. but hoping you have something on that list that will enlighten me….. thanks Jennifer.. May ADONAI FILL YOU WITH HIS SHOLAM AND JOY IN YESHUAS NAME.. SUSANNA(SHOSHANAH)

    Jennifer,

I can’t find it on your website where you mention complete proteins. I am drinking a cup of milk each time I do your weight lifting shows. What can I add to that to make a complete protein. I like almonds–would that work? I have lean ham, but it is very salty. Suggestions?

    Thanks a LOT,
    Lisa
P.S. I am one of your monthly supporters and biggest fans!

Hi Jennifer~ I worked out with you this morning and feel great about it. I dvd’d the workout in case I miss your program some mornings, but my plan is to work out every day with you that I can. I love the easy movements and your gentle voice speaking scripture. You are a blessing! The fact that you have lost 85 lbs. gives my hope that I can lose at least 50 lbs! I am 57 years old and have let myself get in poor shape. I prayed this morning that the Lord would help me to trust in Him each and every day about everything! Thank you Jennifer for your awesome ministry! I would like to receive the food list you spoke about today. Thank you!
    In Him,
    Julie
